Street Measurement of Basque Use in the Basque Country

This research covers the Basque Country as a whole and studies oral use of the language in the street. If the four-year frequency, which has been the case up so far, had been maintained, the 5th Street Measurement of Basque Use was due to have been conducted in 2005. But it has been decided that from now on the year of measurement will coincide with the year of the census and municipal register. So, the measurement has been taken in 2006. In 2005, an effort was made, among other things, to adjust and consolidate the methodology. At the same time, the methodology will be adapted by adjusting the design to take measurements in small, enclosed areas.
